NACE 20.4
Cosmetics & personal care manufacturers in Europe
This is a registry of verified European cosmetics and personal-care manufacturers — soap makers, perfume houses with their own ateliers, skincare laboratories and private-label contract producers — each seeded from an open national business register and cross-checked against its own website. Use the ledger below to find a producer and contact them directly; byeurope.eu takes no commission.
European cosmetics production has strong geography: perfumery concentrated around Grasse, artisanal saponification from Provence to Brittany, and industrial skincare and contract manufacturing spread across France’s laboratory belt. The ledger below includes artisan workshops with their own saponification lines, historic perfume houses, and ISO 22716-certified contract manufacturers producing for private labels.
Brand-only companies whose manufacturing status could not be confirmed are deliberately held back for review rather than listed as producers — a strong brand is not the same as a factory. Each profile shows registry data, an origin signal labelled by derivation, and a description cross-checked against the company’s own site.
71 verified manufacturer profiles · 2 countries · seeded from open EU registers · cross-checked against company websites · updated 2026-07
Frequently asked questions
How do I find a private-label cosmetics manufacturer in Europe?
Several companies in the ledger below are contract or private-label producers — their profiles say so explicitly, with the galenic forms and certifications their own sites state. Contact them directly via their websites; no intermediary is involved.
Are these real manufacturers or just brands?
The registry distinguishes hard between the two: companies are only listed as producers when their own website documents production activity. Well-known brands whose manufacturing arrangement is unclear are held in review instead of being listed.
What certifications do listed cosmetics producers hold?
Profiles mention certifications only when the company itself states them — commonly ISO 22716 (cosmetics GMP), Ecocert/COSMOS organic approval, and Cosmébio labels. byeurope.eu never adds certifications a company has not published.
Does byeurope.eu charge a commission?
No. You contact manufacturers directly, there is no marketplace fee, and all companies are listed on equal terms. Manufacturers can claim their profile free of charge.
Companies are seeded from open national business registers (SIRENE for France, PRH for Finland, and further open registers as coverage grows), filtered to active manufacturing NACE codes. A company is published only when its website has been validated against the register entry and its profile text has been written and independently cross-checked against that site. Companies without a validated website are excluded; ambiguous cases are held for human review. Full mark definitions are on the marks page. How the marks work →
